GCDA BH 365 Residency Success!


Judith Kusi, Coloured People Artworks


Get yourself down to Made in Greenwich at 324 Creek Road SE10 9SW for the last chance to see artist, Judith Kusi's exhibition Coloured People Artworks (on show until Sat 5th August). Judith's paintings have already been on the walls at Woolwich Front Room and Kidbrooke Community Hub and have inspired some moving testimonials about individuals' experiences of racialisation in the UK. Alongside her exhibitions, Judith has also been running a series of collage workshops, in which people have been exploring themes of self identity. Next in our exciting series of BH 365 artists is Denise Rhule, who's exhibiting a series of stunning embroidered portraits.


Denise started out on her artistic journey with sewing and stitching courses run by GCDA and Royal Borough of Greenwich. Her progress to date has been incredible!



You can see Denise's work at Woolwich Front Room until Tues 1st August and thereafter at Kidbrooke Community Hub (14th-25th Aug). She'll also be at Made in Greenwich (27th Sept - 6th Oct). There are two chances left to book onto Denise's Painting with Thread workshops - Sat 19th August and Friday 1st Sept. Rare crafts expert, Victoria Ajoku's fan making workshops and exhibitions will be taking place from July through to November. You can first see Victoria's incredible fans on show at Kidbrooke Community Hub from Wed 19th July - Wed 9th Aug. WATCH for further dates!
