Frequently asked questions
Made in Greenwich (MIG) is an award-winning small, local shop in Greenwich, South East London, that showcases the wares of local artisans and makers. Items sold here are truly local.
MIG also has a Gallery to showcase artwork on the walls of our Workshop Room.
We also hire out the Workshop Room, it is a multi-functional space based in the heart of central Greenwich.
MIG was established in 2019 and is supported and curated by the Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency (GCDA), which has been operating in London for more than forty years, supporting communities to thrive, to be healthy and to be sustainable.
Local makers from the Royal Borough of Greenwich come together in this one-of-a-kind shop, to sell limited edition, one-off arts & crafts gifts, which are not mass-produced or part of giant chains, allowing the local economy to thrive.
We also have a Gallery space where art exhibitions can be showcased.
Our Workshop Room is a multi-functional space that is available for hire too.
MIG is located in the heart of Greenwich, a beautiful and historical area and the perfect place to celebrate local artisans and support the community!
By charging a commission on the products sold at MIG, we enable a large proportion of the income from sales to be re-invested back into the small makers’ business.
In the meantime, GCDA, which is itself a not-for-profit business, runs a range of business courses for London based entrepreneurs and start-ups, further investing in local economies and neighbourhoods. Our courses are FREE to people based in London and held in venues across the Royal Borough of Greenwich. You can find details of the courses at Free Learning In London | Gcda Learning | England
Each item in the shop has been carefully curated and thought out.
